GPS software has, for many of us, become an essential part of our everyday lives and journeys. The list that follows highlights a few of the best sites for downloading free GPS software and gives a brief description of what the site contains and how useful it is. While I cannot claim this list contains all free GPS download sites, it features many of the ones I think are the best and some I have used myself.
