GPS systems will soon include technology that bases directions on traffic patterns and weather forecasts.
GPS systems are about to get a whole lot smarter.
A new generation of navigation systems will include more than directions, reports MSNBC. Drivers will have access to “situational” information, including traffic patterns, weather forecasts and driving restrictions.
Thilo Koslowski, automative analyst for technology consultant, Gartner, Inc., told MSNBC that current GPS systems leave a lot to be desired.
